How much do I love this session? My sweet friend Beth and her beautiful daughter Lucy were my sweet subjects.... I've been so into exploring that mother/daughter connection since I've had my baby girl, Emerson.
This year I had the privilege of photographing the higly anticipated Appirio Party during the Dreamforce - Salesforce's annual user & developer conference. The party was heald at the Contemporary Jewish Museum, a fantastic venue! Here is a small sneak peak of this amazing party. There were so many fun elements, some of my favorites included: a fried chicken and waffle bar, beer gardens, a 'distillery' with some of the most amazing concoctions. Upstairs was a futuristic club scene, neon dancers and an incrible DJ and band (who actually performed together - imagine that), glow in the dark everything.... Whitney Fusion puts on some of the BEST parties I have ever seen. Her ideas continue to amaze me... here is a little peek into this unbelievable night.

Working with the amazing Courtney Cargile Event Production + Design, this styled shoot was an absolute blast. Not only do I adore Courtney and think she is one of the most talented and hard working people in the business, but this shoot was held at my FAVORITE location - Annadel Estate Winery. If you don't know Annadel, you should. If I had a wedding do-over... I would definitely have it at "Annadel." The ruins are incredible, the wine impecable - the light, magical.
We are coming into my favorite season! I love all the rich Fall tones of Gold, Orange, and Purple...its the perfect palatte for a early autumn wedding!
My inspiration for the design came from the Alphonse Mucha painting,
because of its warm colors and ethereal quality. The Goddess-like woman in Mucha's painting is a strong but feminine character with striking looks with a delicate, airy presence...so we wanted to bring in a Bride who could replicate this appearance.
I really hope to transport the viewer into an ethereal wonderland...with delicate and refined details and exquisite elements of nature. I wanted the overall look felt very out of this world and almost celestial.
continued from Courtney: We created a communal garden table with lush greenery and decadent culinary fare...It wanted it to feel like you are settling down to an opulent feast. The fact that we were able to shoot at Annadel Estate Winery meant that we needed to do very little to transform the existing environment. The moss covered stone walls and simple open space created a perfect canvas for our celestial gathering.
For our modern maiden we only needed to enhance Jenna's natural beauty with an angelic gown and organic floral headpiece from Poppystone Floral Couture. Her look was completed with relaxed curls and dreamy yet demure makeup...she is the epitome of the word Goddess!
