Holiday Party, Cornerstone

Yesterday was an amazing day. Sighhhhh, I loved yesterday. A couple months back my friend Kelly (owner of A Savvy Event) asked if I'd like to combine forces and do some sort of charity event. Both of  us are newer moms, and we thought with all our many blessings this year - we'd love to somehow do something for the greater good.

When deciding on what charity we would support, we wanted something that would directly impact the children of Sonoma County. Ladies and Gentleman, may I introduce to you an amazing project called Loving Ella. This sweet organization is raising funds to help build a room in the new Children's Discovery Museum of Sonoma County. For those of you that live in this area, you'll agree that this is such a necessity - and what a better way to remember sweet Ella and her amazing love of art. In the families words, "Ella loved working on art projects. She used rocks, buttons, string and a million other things in her artistic creations. The 'Ella Bisbee Art Room' will be a place for children to explore their own creativity."

I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. With sweet Ella's sweet energy shining on us, we created a magical party - in a Santa's Workshop theme. Cookie decorating, craft projects, Elf sing-a-long and Christmas movies were among the fun activities that the kids participated in. What Holiday Party would be complete without a visit from Santa himself?

I want to thank all the amazing volunteers that helped pull of this 1st Annual (yes, that means we'll do it again next year!) event. We (Kelly and I) are eternally grateful. And for all the generous donations that went into our (AMAZING) raffle... we just couldn't be more thrilled with the outcome. $6000 in raffle prizes just isn't too bad, is it?

I am  a happy, tired and eternally grateful person today as I reflect on our sweet event. To view more photos, visit:
